Out & About, Washington, DC 2015

Went for a four mile walk to see the sights of the core of Washington. Even though it was January, there was little to no snow and the grass was green. Although a bit on the nippy side weather wise, it was still good to get the fresh air and see some of the monuments that we had missed last time. Two days later there was about an inch of snow and the City ground to a screeching halt with accidents everywhere. Was happy to get a close up look at the National Monument this time, and some of the buildings near the White House which was all barricaded up due to security and repairs that were taking place, so certainly glad that I got great photos of it last time.  Actually saw the Christmas Tree . . . I was disappointed and expected something much more magnificent.
