Stanley Park, Vancouver, British Columbia 2014

Last week we were in Stanley Park, strolling along with my camera as my sidekick. Most of you know that I have not been a big people photographer and have concentrated on details, grand nature vistas and architectural delights. Thought I would approach this walkabout in a different manner, and decided it would be interesting to capture people doing what they do at the park and not just the scenery, which of course was spectacular. Watching the little girl prance around in the water just made me smile. The addition of people fishing, painting or making beautiful music, certainly adds to the richness of your experience.

And then of course, there are the grand vistas. We were lucky to have such a gorgeous day with blue skies and warmth. Love the emerging autumn foliage with the blaze of colours.

Always love the type of photos that make you feel like you are peeking through a portal.

The Park provides a spectacular vantage point of the Lion’s Gate Bridge.
