Spent last night at the Hampton Inn in Pocatello, Idaho .. . .they have such great beds and divine bedding and always provide a great breakfast.
The second leg of our journey home begins and it is darn nippy out. Started out at 4 degrees C. The landscape is quite dry and barren this time of year. Stopped at our favourite little pie and coffee place . . . Jan’s cafe in Lima, Montana. Just a little roadhouse restaurant with no pretensions at all and inside the food is wonderful . . especially the pies. I had coconut cream (sadly left the crust behind . .. it looked tender and flaky) and Lynn had Dutch Apple. Met up with some folks on their way down from Calgary. Decided we are going the wrong direction and would just love to turn tail and head straight for the warmth again.
The big sky scenery of Montana . . .
Love the old style rail fences . .. they take me to back to a different era of time . . .
Tomorrow we should hit Calgary . . ..
