Grabba coffee folks . .. this has turned out to be a long one . . .
Up early and going for a morning walkabout . . . .Carolyn D. joined us for yet another session of sensory overload. It really is quite overwhelming. Early morning is a nice time for a stroll . . . . the sidewalks aren’t as busy and the light is better.
The photos speak for themselves . .. a few snippets from the hundreds that we took . .
I love architecture so this really is a feast for the eyes.
Below, some photos from the Paris . … hoping to get to the real thing one day .. . it was neat to be able to recognize the French style from having seen it at Disneyworld and the Biltmore . . .
Next stop . .. the Venetian . . .. some outdoor captures
When you enter through the doors, one should have a dose of pure oxygen so you can keep breathing. I will never ever see enough of this place . . . .
A few photos of the merchandise displays . ..
Got to go to the 19th floor of Polo Towers . .. oh my . . . the view was fabulous . .. I hardly ever take photos through glass but I made an exception for myself this time . .. aerial views below . . .
After quite a full day we took in a show in the evening . . the first one I have been to in Vegas.
This particular event was in Planet Hollywood . . we had never really been in there before and it was quite interesting although nowhere near the opulence of The Paris, Bellagio or The Venetian.
The show was okay . .. not spectacular . .. and told the story of the old days of Vegas. Made me wish that we had gone back in the 80’s when the real entertainers were performing and dinner and a show was an elegant event. We dressed up anyway. After hauling the dressup clothes around for that long, we definitely had to wear them at least once.
And that, is the end of a very long day and an even longer post!!
