Our gracious hosts . .. Amy and Dan. We went to Mass with them . . . it was a beautiful service with very uplifting music. Had a chance to meet some of the family and we were warmly welcomed by all and invited to share breakfast with them. Even though it was a long wait in the bakery part of the establishment, with to die for smells of fresh cinnamon buns and steamed coffee, we had a chance to visit even longer. What a cool place to go.
Below is the exterior of the building . . . . love the old bricks
and the bakery is to the left. It was in an
older part of town which I always
think gives a place character.
Across the street there was wonderful artwork on the vertical surfaces. What a gorgeous visual that gives you and shows just how much creative talent is out there . . .. well done and giving guests additional beauty and a creative outlet for the artists. Loved it.
The remainder of the day was spent traveling to Lake Tahoe where we are now nicely settled in our suite at 1862 David Walley’s Hot Springs Resort. It was a very quiet journey as I slept most of the way and Lynn didn’t have the usual incessant chatter and entertainment that I provide!!!!
