Day 3 . . . . off to Oregon

What a glorious day . . . now those of you still in Edmonton will cringe when you read this as I understand it is much cooler there now.  We had a fabulous breakfast at the Best Western in Federal Way . . .. sometimes Groupons are good . .. this was one of those times!!  Then down the I-5 we headed . .. beautiful sunshine and all around spectacular.

Stopped in Olympia to visit the State Capitol buildings as that is one of the things we do now along with visiting Presidential Libraries.  Gorgeous grounds, spacious and extremely well manicured lawns with a spectacular view of the Bay.

We arrived at our Bed and Breakfast, The Apple Inn around 5 p.m.  Now, I have to say I have been somewhat disappointed in Bed and Breakfast establishments, with our experience in North Carolina at the Grand Outer Banks being less than stellar to say the least.  However, this one puts back my faith in humanity.  I would suggest anyone come and stay here.  Gracious, friendly and hospitable hosts, Larry and Kathe McIntyre with a retreat like property set in the hills of Oregon near Cottage Grove. They provide such a homey and comfortable atmosphere that you feel like you have known them a long time and are just coming back for a visit, not to mention that their property is like a park with walking trails and carefully tended florals.  I would drive out of my way to come back here.
